Tracy Ernst: Mudlark Tides and Revisited Time

Tracey Ernst has been creating jewelry for over seven years. A costumer and maker since childhood, she uses her keen imagination and her background in literature and history to creates pieces which are touchstones to the past and to worlds which never were. Tracey is an avid Mudlark, travelling to London (permit in hand!) to hunt for fragments of history along the foreshore of London’s historic Thames. She crafts unique jewelry out of some of these fragments, each of which is a piece of wearable history. Inspired by the steampunk movement, she also sources broken pocketwatch movements and combines them with other elements to create individual pendants.
