Heike Kapp: Intersections

Heike Kapp: Intersections

Heike Kapp will show her photo-based textile art and will demonstrate how she designs and assembles her wall hangings. The pieces are based on her own photographs that she transfers onto fabric, and she then employs quilting techniques to create the final piece. Heike also incorporates found objects, wood, shells, and other items that enhance the image and overall look and feel of her wall art.

Heike is a self-taught life-long Maker who over the years has explored different creative mediums such as photography, quilting, flameworking (a type of glassblowing), and driftwood sculpture. Now she brings all these disciplines together in photo-based textile art she calls “Intersections”.
